Made for the original LX27 (Gen 1): this load bar mounts to the side channels in the roof of the tent and carries solar panels, recovery gear, kayaks or boards on the closed tent.


Set it at 37mm or 66mm of clearance. Powder-coated aluminium with stainless steel hardware, rated to 100kg dynamic. Sold singly, so you can fit as many bars as your setup needs. It doesn't fit other Bush Company tents.

Adjustable Load Bar for the LX27 Gen 1

The original LX27 (Gen 1) has channels along the sides of its roof, and this load bar mounts to them to turn the closed tent into a carrying platform. Use it for solar panels, recovery gear, a kayak or boards.

Two heights

  • 37mm (1.5in): keeps the profile low for slimline panels and flat gear.
  • 66mm (2.6in): more clearance and airflow under a solar panel, which helps it run cooler and produce more.

  • Powder-coated aluminium with stainless steel hardware.
  • Mounts to the side channels in the roof of the LX27 Gen 1, pre-drilled for straightforward fitting; no drilling into the tent.
  • Rated to 100kg (220.5 lb) dynamic.
  • Sold singly, so you don't have to buy pairs when you need more than two.
