The 270 XT MAX Awning is one of the largest freestanding awnings available today, delivering an impressive 12m² of shade around your 4WD with 270 degrees of coverage. The awning is available in either a Left-Hand or Right-Hand configuration for your vehicle.

This ample coverage is perfect for setting up a camp kitchen, swags, or relaxing in the shade with mates. The awning can be effortlessly set up, or packed down, by a single person in approximately 60 seconds.

The 270°freestanding awning is constructed with a heavy-duty stainless steel hinge at both the rear and front sections of the strong B-Tech™ Alloy Extruded frame. The robust, gusseted arms ensure durability and strength no matter the weather.

Peg down the front and rear arms to prevent excessive upward movement.

Use guy ropes attached to 1-tonne webbing straps to manage water runoff and prevent pooling.

Vehicle Compatability

If mounting to a roof rack then the rack will typically need to be a minimum 1.9m / 6’3″ in length. We recommend placing a third bracket in the middle of the awning to provide additional support.

The 270 XT MAX Awning Mk2 is supplied with 3 Heavy DutyAdjustable L Brackets. One fitment bracket must be attached to the stainless steel headstock at each end, a minimum distance of 1800 mm.

What are the dimensions?

When packed away, the awning dimensions are approximately 2300mm L x 180mm wide. When open the awning is 12m2, with dimensions of 6067mm L x 3100mm W.

Is this a freestanding awning?

Yes the 270 XT MAX is a freestanding awning, which means other than being mounted on your car, no additional poles or support items are required to use this awning.

How heavy is the awning?

This awning weighs 33.5kg

Can I install it myself?

Yes The 270XT MAX Freestanding awning can be installed at home. Due to its weight, you may require an additional person to help with lifting and bolting into place.

Does this awning need poles?

No - In general you don't require poles for the 270XT MAX awning. We do however recommend using the supplied poles with the awning walls (poles supplied with awning wall purchase)

What roof racks is it compatible with?

If you're mounting it to your roof rack, you'll need at least 1.9m (6'3") in length. For extra support, we suggest adding a third bracket in the centre of the awning.

The Bush Company or one of our stockists can install your awning, but if you choose to install the awning yourself please make sure that you have done the due diligence to ensure that it does not create any safety issues.
