After moving to Australia in 2015, he expanded his explorations and brought his vision to life. The Bush Company Timeline

2007: Awnings That Stood Alone

Dean Gurney developed the first freestanding 270-degree awning, setting a new standard in off-road gear by creating an innovative, pole-free design capable of withstanding 30kph wind gusts.
2012: The Classic Roof Top Tent

Launch of The Bush Company’s first roof top tent, the “Classic.” Built with durability in mind, it became the go-to option for adventurers seeking rugged and reliable equipment for extreme conditions.
2015: Testing the Future

Development began on the AX27™ rooftop tent. Dean and the team focused on addressing the challenges faced by overlanders, such as optimising roof storage and enhancing four-season usability.
2018: AX27™ Launch

The AX27™ clamshell rooftop tent was officially introduced, redefining the industry with features like 1.7m internal height, dual-layered canvas, superior ventilation, and the patented Ezi-slot™ accessory system.
2020: Expanding Globally
