180 XT MAX Awning

The 180 XT Awning is engineered with our proprietary B-Tech™ Alloy, is fully freestanding and built to endure the toughest conditions. The combination of forward and rear folding arms gives the 180 XT MAX Awning an incredible +/-8.53m2 / 91.8ft of shade and has a total length of 5.84m/19'11⁵⁹/₆₄" from end to end,

The awning has two fully trussed arms at 90o degrees at each end of the frame, and additional reinforced arms at the front and rear of the awning that fold out to be parallel with your vehicle. 

When packed away the awning is 2.3m/7'6" long, weighs only 26Kg/ 57lb 5.1oz and can set up or packed away by one person in around 30 seconds.

Frame Construction:

Heavy-duty stainless steel hinges at both ends.

The frame is reinforced with gusseted arms for superior strength and durability, without needing poles.

Engineered with our proprietary B-Tech™ Alloy, extruded for superior durability and unique elasticity.

Canvas:

310gsm/11.3oz poly-cotton rip-stop in olive green.

Mould, mildew, and water-resistant.

Triple reinforcement at attachment points and triple-stitched sleeves for the arms.

Easily repairable or replaceable if punctured, for lasting use.

Inclusions & Usage:

Heavy-duty PVC awning bag generously sized for easier packing, UV and heat-stabilized to resist wear and tear.

2 Heavy DutyAdjustable L Brackets. One fitment bracket must be attached to the stainless steel head stock at each end, a minimum distance of 1900 mm / 6' 2 ⁵¹/₆". If mounting to a roof rack then the rack will typically need to be a minimum 2m / 6'6 ⁴⁷/₆₄" in length.

It is recommended that the front and rear non trussed arms are secured using the included guy ropes and pegs to prevent excessive upward movement in all weather conditions. 

Use guy ropes attached to 1-tonne webbing straps between the awning arms to manage water runoff and prevent pooling in heavy rain.

Avoid leaving up during snowfall to prevent canvas stretching.

Optional Accessories:

180 XT MAX Awning Wall Kit or universal solid or mesh wall can be attached to 50mm thick triple-stitched Genuine Velcro strip on the inside edge of the awning.

Installing Your Bush Company Awning

The Bush Company or one of our stockists can assemble and install your awning, but if you choose to install the awning yourself please make sure that you have done the due diligence on your intended installation to ensure that it does not create any safety issues and ensure that you follow standard safety precautions when undertaking the install.

Using & Caring For Your Awning

Before Use:

We recommend that new awnings are thoroughly wet down before first use. This will ensure that your awning performs well in wet weather by allowing the poly/cotton core spun thread and canvas to swell ensuring the takeup of any potential leaks in the stitching.

Deploying & Packing Away:

• When unzipping the awning, make sure the zippers are right to the top of the bag at each end and that the bottom corners of the bag are not caught on the awning frame.
• When deploying your awning if the canvas seems excessively tight, STOP and check that the canvas is not caught on the hinge mechanism and that it has not slid too far one way in the sail-track on the awning frame.
• When packing the awning away, ensure that the canvas is not pinched between the awning arms especially close to the hinge mechanism.
