Tent Seal Repair Kit

Our tents close onto automotive-grade rubber seals that keep them dust free and watertight on the road. If a seal starts coming away from the frame, this kit has everything you need to replace it, in quantities to suit your tent.

What's in the kit

  • new rubber seal
  • 3M activation primer and primer applicators
  • 3M double-sided tape
  • rubber hand roller for applying the tape
  • cleaning swabs
  • wide-head rivets
  • electrical bullet connectors

Why the bullet connectors? On older-model tents the electrical outlets are mounted in the roof. The best way to replace the seal is to remove the lid, which means cutting those cables; the bullet connectors let you join them again.

Doing the job

Allow about 3–4 hours; most of that is removing the old seal and cleaning off the glue residue. The kit includes step-by-step instructions, and they're also on our guides and instructions page.

If you do the repair yourself, follow standard safety precautions.

Specifications

  • Versions: AX27 and DX27; TX27; TX27 MAX (no kit is available for the LX27 at this stage)
  • Contents: as listed above, in quantities for the selected tent
  • Time: about 3–4 hours
