Before applying Rig Renew, thoroughly clean the surface using a mild pH-neutral cleaner such as Rig Wash to remove dirt, oils, dust and residue. Cleaning first helps ensure the product is applied evenly across the surface and allows the rejuvenating treatment to perform as intended. Always ensure surfaces are completely dry before application.

How to apply Rig Renew

• Clean thoroughly. Wash the compatible surface with pH-neutral Rig Wash or clean water to remove dirt, oils and contaminants.
• Allow the surface to dry completely.Work on a cool surface. Ensure the area is cool to the touch and out of direct sunlight before application.
• Test compatibility first. Apply a small amount of Rig Renew to a lint-free Rig Wipe or suitable applicator and test on an inconspicuous area before treating the entire surface.
• Apply an even first coat. Apply a light, even coat in one direction. Allow the product to dry naturally and avoid excessive rubbing or overworking the surface to minimise streaking.
• Allow 30 minutes before the second coat. Leave the first application to dry for a minimum of 30 minutes before applying a second light coat for enhanced colour depth and protection.

Maintaining your vehicle's trim is easier than restoring heavily weathered surfaces. To help maximise longevity, avoid abrasive scrubbing and clean compatible surfaces regularly using pH-neutral cleaners such as Rig Wash or clean water where appropriate. Rig Renew is intended for compatible vinyl, rubber, leather and selected plastic surfaces. *Compatible plastics exclude ABS plastic unless specifically confirmed suitable. Always test on an inconspicuous area before full application to confirm compatibility and the desired finish. Rig Renew is designed for trim maintenance and should not be used as a substitute for dedicated powder coat protection products on powder-coated aluminium surfaces. For powder-coated rooftop tent shells, bullbars and other powder-coated accessories, use Rig Revive instead. Likewise, do not use Rig Renew on rooftop tent canvas or mesh. These materials require their own dedicated care procedures in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's maintenance instructions.
