The bracket we use to mount our awnings to roof racks, load bars and canopies, and it fits most other awnings too. Three height settings set the awning where you want it against the rack, and the wide 310mm base suits wider rack slats.


Gusset-reinforced, CNC laser-cut stainless steel with a black powder coat, supplied with stainless steel mounting hardware. The 180 XT MAX and 270 XT MAX come with three; the 270 XT comes with two.

Heavy Duty L Bracket: height adjustable awning mounting

These are our height adjustable heavy-duty stainless steel L brackets, the brackets we use to mount Bush Company awnings to roof racks, load bars and canopies. They suit most other 4WD awnings too.

Features

  • Three heights: 105mm (4.1in), 165mm (6.5in) or 225mm (8.9in), to set the awning's clearance from the rack, canopy or rooftop tent.
  • Wide 310mm (12.2in) base with multiple slots, to suit wider rack slats and different bar spacings.
  • Gusset-reinforced corner, so the bracket doesn't flex under a large freestanding awning.
  • CNC laser-cut stainless steel with a black powder coat.
  • All stainless steel mounting hardware included: pan head bolts, hex bolts and nyloc nuts.

How many do I need?

  • 180 XT MAX and270 XT MAX Awning Mk2: an L bracket must be mounted to the stainless steel headstock at each end of the awning, so you need at least 1.8m (5'10.9") between those two mounting points. A third bracket, towards the centre, is needed when mounting to load bars or a roof rack. Both awnings come with three.
  • 270 XT Awning Mk2: an L bracket must be mounted to the headstock at the rear of the awning, and the second no less than 1.1m (3'7.3") from the rear bracket. It comes with two.
