Universal Single Mesh Wall: awning privacy screen with airflow

One heavy-duty mesh wall, 2.4m (7'10") high and 2.3m (7'7") wide between the outer zips, or 2.5m (8'2") with the zip-on end sections attached, that fits any Bush Company awning (180 XT MAX, 270 XT Mk2 or 270 XT MAX Mk2), and any awning with a Velcro loop strip on its valance. It lets the breeze through while cutting sun, glare, wind and prying eyes. From inside you keep up to 90% outward visibility, while the one-way mesh gives up to 80% privacy from outside: people walking past see shapes, not detail.

How you'll use it

• Beach and river days: shade and a windbreak without losing the view.
• Hot, still days: screen the camp and cut heat and glare without trapping the air the way a solid wall would.
• Dusty or windy sites: take the edge off the wind while the air keeps moving.
• Light rain: the mesh keeps most light rain out, though driving rain will come through; for that, use a canvas wall on the weather side.
• Mix and match: zip it to a canvas wall or another mesh wall for a windbreak, a shaded dining area or a semi-enclosed camp.

As a guide, one mesh wall covers more than three-quarters of one side of a 180 XT MAX, and three walls come close to enclosing it. Two walls nearly enclose a 270 XT Mk2.

Built for heat, dust and wind

650gsm (19.2 oz/yd²) woven mesh that blocks UV, reduces glare and heat, and resists mildew and salt water. It complies with the US Greenguard®, European Oeko-Tex® and Australian Eco-specifier® standards, which cover low chemical emissions, freedom from harmful substances and whole-of-life environmental performance. The wall has a 600gsm (17.7 oz/yd²) PVC splash skirt and adjustable pegging eyelets that keep the base taut and keep out water, mud and sand on sloping or uneven ground. The eyelets let you set the wall height to suit your vehicle, up to 2.4m (7'10").

Modular and quick to set up

The wall attaches to the awning's genuine Velcro® strip. Two aluminium telescopic poles fit the built-in holes in the trussed arms, or the webbing loop at the end of a non-trussed arm on Mk2 awnings, and extend to 2.6m (8'6") to hold it steady, and three pegs are included. Full-length YKK spiral zips on both sides join it to other walls. They're made from spiralled polyester and nylon: the softest, smoothest-running zip YKK makes. Each side has a removable zip-on end section, so there's soft fabric, not a zip, against your vehicle's paint; unzip it to join the next wall. The kit weighs 4kg (8.8 lb) and packs, with its poles and pegs, into one canvas storage bag. 12-month warranty.
