You can mount a Rooftop tent to your Toyota Hilux. The most common solution is to add either a tray and metal canopy setup or an metal tub canopy that is rated for a higher load.

2) - To mount the 180XT Max or the 270XT Max, you will require a mounting distance of 1.9m. The most common way to achieve this is with either a counter levered roofrack or by mounting a hardshell rooftop tent, such as the LX27

To mount a rooftop tent to your Toyota Hilux, you will need either a tray based canopy or a tub canopy. Either will need to be able to carry the weight of your selected rooftop tent.
